Here is a recording from a radio programme I co-presented in the 1970s when the British band "Mud" were regular guests on the show. This excerpt was from 1973 when lead guitarist Rob Davis took part and brought his Brazilian acoustic guitar with him. He was studying classical guitar at the time and he kindly played us this short piece by Francisco Tarrega called Lagrima. We were very impressed!

  • That is lovely thank you for posting :o) Rob is such a great musician, his guitar playing has such a distinctive sound in many Mud songs.

  • Thanx for the comments. Not only does he play well and write great songs (esp. Kylie's 'Can't get you out of my head') but he's also one of the nicest people you could wish to meet - a real gentleman. And his Mum was lovely too!
