    it says god guide and protect me. I would like to know how to say this my self...if their is a way I can find out what each symbol says that would be helpful to...thanks!

  • @XiaNingTian Yes, use polite form unless you happen to be really close to the parents as well.

  • What if I'm talking to a close friend's parents? The mom doesn't seem to care if I just say ”元気?” But the dad, I'm not sure if he doesn't hear me or just ignores me. Use "お元気ですか”With the parents、Right?
