  • So were's the camera footage? :|

  • @ALPHADESIGNTAMPICO the camera footage is up. thanks, berk

  • Been waiting to hear some impressions about this camera. Really exciting release from Canon. We have a Panasonic HMC40 (with xlr adapter), which the XA10 seems to be competing directly against. Are you familiar with the HMC40, and if so, how would they compare? Seems to me the HMC40 might have more shooting options. I wonder if the XA10 makes shallow depth of field easier, and is a bit better in low light. Be interesting to hear any comparisons between the two cameras.

  • @ScreenTeamShow I am not familiar with the Panasonic but the canon has bigger pixels which will translate to better low light. I will get some footage up with depth of field shots so you can see. stay tuned. thanks, berk

  • I like the review, do you have any footage from the camera.

  • @johnjr47 i'll get some footage up, stay tuned. thanks, berk

  • nice review! thanks for posting.

  • lol he could barely talk straight cuz of how turned on he was by the camera

  • I want to transfer the footage from my CANON XA10

to IMOVIE on my IMAC. But I want the footage to

end up on my GRAID external drive.

I have connected the GRAID to the IMAC (firewire800 to USB)

Do I plug the CANON XA10 into another usb port on the IMAC?

(there is no usb on the GRAID).

  • OMG! Get a professional that knows anything about video production/photography to do your reviews. How does it handle, how does the exposure, all manual controls and the non-obvious factors work?? "It's gonna be beautiful, it's cool, it's handy, it has a really fast processor, I like this/that." might be good for a complete amateur, but I seriously doubt it.
