I as a firefighter's wife know I couldn't do it. I am an emt and it takes a special person to do that much. Our department no longer has wooden ladders as of the beginning of the year.

Just a quick fact sheet for those of you having a debate over wooden ladders. I can think of three large west coast departments that use only or encompass wooden ladders. Oakland, San Francisco, and one of LA Departments county or city. Long Beach may still use them as well but not completely sure.

Actually my dept. had some being used until 1984 when one of our guys got his career ended when it snapped and he was about 2 stories up. Shredded his knee and was hanging upside down by his leg till they could get him down. Some depts. might even still have a few hanging around.

u have to be the biggest worthless pile of shit i have ever seen on youtube. for one wooden ladders r no longer in service. 2 a 2 1/2 line doesnt take nearly as mch strength as u think dumbshit, i can handle that no problem and i weigh 200 pounds not a very big guy, i have met women that have more potential than most guys, hell i have had teachers for fire science that prolly know more than you ever fuckin will. go back to ur town and suck a fat cock. stop dissin female firefighters cunt nugget

Xtian1281, I don't really know what kind of dept. you are in, but when you said something about wooden ladders and then standards, that doesn't really make much sense. Try looking at "todays" standards, pretty sure wooden ladders aren't on the cutting edge anymore. Just because you can throw a wooden ladder by yourself doesn't mean a thing. It doesn't always matter how strong you are, the strongest guys in the world may run out like a little bitch when hell comes to breakfast! You may be one!
