This version is based off of the production by the Royal Shakespeare Company on London's West End in 1987(Most theatre companies choose to use this version). The dual role of Miss Gulch/The Wicked Witch of the West was played by Australian Shakespeare actor Bille Brown.

Has anyone else noticed that in the movie version, the poppies are red? Red poppies are used to make a form of opium, which can cause drowsiness....
