  • don't doctors only find out if your a donor until after you die?

  • @whydid666 Yes, you are absolutely correct. Doctors actually are there to focus on their patients medical care. After death has been declared, the nurse will call the local organ procurement organization and start the referral process to find out if the patient is eligible to become an organ/tissue donor.
