Music needs melody to qualify as one, not odd times, long solos, showoff if skills etc. This song is music.

@JKwoftw I am not comparing it to DT's work. It's not a question of odd time sequences or being "prog", it's the similarity between every single song within this album. I think that takes a bit of value from the composition. Within the genre chosen, there is more space the writers could have reached, and make the album more appealing. Even still, I understand obviously many will like it nevertheless, it's up to each individual's tastes.

@GorgonTheMagicMan It is my opinion, and feel free to think what you want of it. But I will stick to it anyway. I had a few spins of the album, and still doesn't click.

@n00dlejester That's why I said that many people will like it nevertheless. It just doesn't work for me and I view it as a poor album for my tastes. I do agree on the production point you stated, it is very good on this album.

If I were James Labrie, I wouldn't have agreed to sing this.

I can so hear In Flames "in the background".

Like this quite a lot... and I don't think it's generic at all.
Maybe the expectation was too high?
I just like it for what it is and how it sounds to me.
Monotonus? Bah
Still better than the extravagant 1 hour soli of DT, after some time, they all seem the same to me, especially on the last two albums

Zajebista płyta!!!:) bardzo chętnie bym ją kupił
-
The riff reminds me on "Prophets of War" from the Systematic Chaos album. But "Superstar" is better!
-
@Bitziucci now that would've been crap lol
@S1NE4T3R Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a flawed album, it just means you don't like it. One man's monotony is another man's treasure chest. This is the way that Mr. LaBrie wanted to express himself. Listen to LaBrie's interview from Used Bin Radio, he was really passionate about this type of music (ie: Soilwork).
That said, I'm digging the production and straight ahead rock this album delivers. Good times on this album.

This album is definitely an improvement over the last album, but that's just me. All I expect from his solo project is catchy tunes, and that's what I got.
