  • GO CHARLES INGALLS! YOU ROCK!

  • Harriet never learned! When a paper comes later in the series she tries the same smutt, only the editor wouldn't have it! Harriet even mentioned "Harriets Happenings" in that episode!

    Very good continuity there. :)

  • Don't you mean "The street of walnut grove"?

  • I thought the 8th commandment was "Thou shalt not steal." But I suppose even though it's a Protestant church they followed the changed Roman Catholic format.

  • Somebody ought to show this segment to all of today's tabloids! LMFAO!

  • I totally agree with this show. Did you know that it's only about 10 % of these types of things found in local news papers that hurt people? the other 90% is "friends" that find out things and hear rumours and mar their friend's names that hurt now. I'm not even kidding.

  • Charles, Glenn Beck couldn't have said it any better....OOPS!, I mentioned Glenn Beck!

  • Ooh I love how Charles tells Harriet like it really is in church. The look on her face was priceless. I hope she felt embarassed by her actions. But she never changes.

  • Life imitating art. It was quite obvious that Michael Landon produced this episode as a wake up call regarding tabloids and the crap they spew that readers lap up because it's nice to see the 'rich and famous' have real or fabricated trouble with their lives and relationships.

And the tabloids got even. When he was diagnosed with cancer, the Enquirer, Star and Globe all printed that he was at death's door. Looked at in full context, especially after his death, this one corny or not, resonates.

  • Harriet just slamed a Bible down! Looks like she's in a load of trouble!

  • @likethepear yay AMEN to that
