  • This is exactly what im planning on doing. I was just going to cross batten the old joist with new ones but an independent floor would be much better. Did you fix the new joist to the brickwork? My loft is 6m wide so im gonna have to see if the party wall running down the center is load bearing so that i could fly the new joists across it from the gable wall ect. Small world as well cos ive not long moved from wavertree to garston haha.
