This is from a film of the same name 'Live It Up!' that featured music by Joe Meek. An early 60s film about some young Postman which made a demo tape(which got lost and then found) and wanted to break it into the music business in the early 60's like The Shadows & The Beatles. Enjoy!

  • @kitzel1971 Don't believe everything you see in films. Heinz was playing bass with the Tornadoes long before they met Meek. He was a reasonable singer who was very attractive to the female audience. I remember my sister being crazy about him. He did not have a sexual relationship with Meek. Meek made a pass at him one day in his flat. Heinz fled and never returned,

  • heinz was a talentless hack, only reason he got ANYWHERE was cause meek was slipping him one

  • I don't know what became of the bass player, but it's bit sad to think of was to come for the others. Heinz dying in his 50's from that wretched disease ALS, Hemming collapsing from a heart attack at barely 60, obese and unrecognizable from the young man here, and poor Steve Marriott lost in a house fire over 20 years ago. "Don't forget. It's a short movie, folks" ronnie lane

  • does anyone know the lyrics??? :)

  • @AllOurYesterdaze Now that you mention it, I think that's true. Be My Guest must have been filmed shortly before the Small Faces themselves formed.

  • @gropingwithastoker Yep - I've seen Be My Guest. I think he'd be watching Keith Moon!

  • @AllOurYesterdaze His fake drumming improved considerably in the follow up film.

  • Do you know who sang " Accidents will happen " in the film?

  • lol "WERE IN!!!!!" the drumsticks went flying :)

  • Marriott makes a much better singer/guitarist than drummer - he's about an inch away from actually hitting them! Don't worry Steve, in five years time you'll make a classic album about magic flies, disappearing moons and why life is just a bowl of All-Bran.
