The real meaning of "christmas" is the rebirth of the Sun "the star" which is at it's lowest point on the horizon, for three days, then begins to rise (or be reborn) on December 25th. This is simply a fact, it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus Christ.

Christmas was invented by the roman empire not by Gods son our lord and saviour Jesus
Theology of when the Romans excepted the bible and began implanting a doctrine of there own is similar to Charles taze Russell making up his own only difference the Romans had more followers

Christmas celebrated in 1914 by all JW's worldwide--When the WTBTS says that Christ returned to rule''Invisibly present''.Gifts were exchanged on Dec. 25, 1914 !!
Christmas also celebrated in 1919 by all JW's worldwide-- When the WTBTS says that Christ completed His inspection of all known churches & religions and chose the WTBTS as the'' Faithful & Discreet slave
I SIMPLY ASK IF IT WAS CELEBRATED BY JW's DURING THOSE IMPORTANT EVENTS Then wether celebrated or not is non-inflammatory now !

Just one more thing before I say good night...I understand that the celebration of Christmas is a very big issue with current witnesses...Rest assured that this is indeed an ancillary issue that does not deserve the vitiole and negative feed that it engendars...It is simply properly A celebration of the birth of the King,the Messiah,our Lord, your Lord..your King...The Son of God...A celebration that was properly enjoyed by all witnesses from 1879 until 1931...including in 1914 & 1919 THINK??

This is very sad. This kid KNOWS in his heart of hearts that xmas is pagan, has nothing, and WILL have nothing ever ever ever ever to do with Jesus, and all those who cling to these false holidays will be destroyed. HE KNOWS THESE THINGS yet turns his back on the truth to have his fliippin' ears tickled!!

@Fhomie actually it simply is the Winter Soltice - the darkest day of the year and the following day the daylight is brighter and brighter..this really has nothing to do with Romans originally..Also - when was the last time any GOD other that Jesus (whether you see him as A GOD or GOD) was December 25th celebrate. I do not know ONE person who does celebrate it other than this..how about you. The Watctower came out with a very interesting article - read this awake1-8-00 pp26-27 and apply
