@copperhead29 actually the actress playing kate at this particular time was deborah adair. she played kate from 1993-1995 and left a few months after this episode aired. vivian intended to drug kate and instead ended up drugging the pilot of kate's plane. the plane went down and everyone thought kate had died. lauren koslow appeared in 1996 when kate returned to town to expose vivian and she's been playing her ever since. lauren's kate is much darker and more devious than deborah's kate.
