Senator Claire McCaskill gave brief remarks applauding the tone of President Barack Obama's address to the nation and echoing his call for bipartisanship and commitment to fiscal accountability.
"The President struck the right tone: determined, undaunted, and visionary. He explained why bold action was necessary and laid down a marker about fiscal responsibility and budget restraint. Most of all, he emphasized that we are not quitters and we will solve these problems."

I agree we need a Commitment to return to (financial) discipline . And its really not that hard if we simply follow the law, the supreme law of the land, the Constitution.
Article 1 Section 8: The Congress shall have Power to coin Money and regulate the Value thereof. Not the Federal Reserve Bank.
Section 10 No State shall make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.

What we need is a commitment to return to real money, money that maintains its value, Constitutional money, gold and silver.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." Thomas Jefferson

All style, NO substance. Lot of that going around. A flock of Neros + a flock of fiddles = no more America.
