Karthago - I Know What You Can Do My Babe [1971 Krautrock / Funk]

Continuing the theme, but rather - the beginning, as we discuss the debut record. A group of West Berlin was established Karthago Joey Albrecht and Gerald "Luciano" Hartwig. Since 1968, they performed as a duo Blues Machine. In 1970 they were joined by percussionist from Bolivia Thomas Goldschmidt. They soon signed a contract with BASF to record an album. For this to work even invited two participants: Ingo Bischof and Wolfgang Brock. Karthago's debut album was recorded in October 1971, at Audio Tonstudio, in Berlin. The album was released in a colorful and expensive multi-page insert with the cover ... This lavishly decorated cover has incorporated the best of the colorful psychedelic album art and Carlos Santana - but actually surpassed them. The elegant sound Karthago with excellent heavy guitar and funky vocals Joey Albrecht recalled Jimi Hendrix Experience and progressive funk band Funkadelic. The best tracks are Why Don't You Stop Buggin 'Me and String Rambler. Few German bands recorded the music in that particular style. Vocal - English.
