The faster segment is absolutely necessary. You can't volume control different notes on the same beat with this program, so he is off-setting the notes to do so. He uses the tempo to create dynamic flow on one instrument without changing the other.

Not everyone knows English. I can only imagine how hard it is going from English to his native language and back, no offense. And the last line got me for a minute, weirdly worded.

The super-fast segment after the loop point is actually totally unnecessary. The kick there is not actually in triplet quarter-notes, but in dotted eighth notes. I don't know how I can visually explain this, but I trust you know where I'm coming from.
If you were using the echo from the snare drum, however, it would be appropriate.

It difficult for me to explain in English but I'll try.
The "high speed" was indeed unnecessary to respect the tempo - a simple three time segment would be sufficient - nevertheless, note that this passage required a change of "time" and was impossible to do in the standard bar.
Regardless of that, the more spaced writing allow me to adjust the volume of the cars (decrescendo) without affecting the drums...
