I listened to this as a young boy, when I saw the wolrd through different eyes. Even then, there was something that struck a chord of deep sadness, something I did not understand. With the passage of time, and as I am well into my walk of life, this song still evokes great sadness. The only difference is that now I understand, with heavy heart, why as a child this song stirred my soul.

Maybe it's not for the best we are able to reflect about the past..
