yea vodka works great. if u decide to, go buy the cheapest non flavored vodka u can find must be 40% 80 proof. and u only add 1ml per 25g (better to buy a ml syringe to dose) everyday. must have a good protein skimmer too. but theres other things that could be making that algae grow over feeding or something dead in the tank. (snails and crabs always, they hide and die). with the vodka i have no nitrate and almost no phosphate i have meat eaters. all the live rock i have never have any nitrite
