Rory was from Ballyshannon Co. Donegal. but raised in Cork.the main things is he was one of our own a true irish legend who passes far too young.. R.I.P. Rory.

Hey hyphext, chill out dude. I don't deny that he was born in the beautiful county of Donegal but he grew up in Cork . He bought his Fender Strat in Crowley's Music Shop. When he came home from touring it was to Cork he would come. That's where his family lived (and still do). As for the "plank" comment, maybe you should check out how to spell DONEGAL. Take the plank out of your own eye before you try to remove the splinter from others'. Slan!
