If you feel like your so mistreated, and you need payment today, from people who had nothing to do with slave holdings, to give to black people today, who had no part of being a slave, WOW! Really, if people looked at the REAL history of slavery, they would know that blacks sold off their black "brothers and sisters". It wasn't whites in Africa selling off their own tribes and people. I am probably about 1/8th Native American, does this mean that the Spaniards owe me money too for what was done to the Native Americans? What about the Jews? I am 1/2 German, so does that mean the Germans (including myself) owe the Jewish people money as well? Many Germans were mixed with Jewish ancestry, so this complicates things further. Conclusion: Throughout history -- ALL people subjugated eachother, and black people in Africa also sold their own people as slaves.

though my white ancestors did not own slaves, i have nevertheless benefited from being a white man in this country because of the racist system people that looked like me once constructed and (yes) that WE continue to maintain...oh, and there's no such thing as reverse racism, it's a fallacy. reverse discrimination/prejudice does exist but reverse-racism as an institution would only exist if people of color controlled everything. and they don't.

This country lost way more than it gained from slavery. My ancestors owned 15 slaves and a warehouse in Georgia, and they lost every penny in the war like every other slave holder. Don't go through life begging for handouts- get a job, you racist bitch! The US only continues to be a racist country because of racists like you!
