too many people see certain dogs as status symbols, which is why those certain dogs have bad rep. uneducated types who want only to see the agressive side of their companion are the ones that should be on a dangerous act list. a dog will always immitate its owners behaviour. akitas are the most incredibly beautiful and placid dogs unless in the wrong hands by the way.

what a sad, sad video of a very sad dog. I do own an Akita, and he gets along extremely well with almost all dogs. Yes, he is very dominant, and he would take a bullet for our family at anytime he sensed danger; however, he is very , very, gentle almost 98% of the time, the other 2% he is playful. I think it's sad that you do not enjoy or value your Akita as a trusting, loyal, and powerful companion.

@TheMicEntertainer2 ------------ok crazy check this shit out. 2 full grown male akitas will kill a grizzly. they were used for bear and dear hunting in japan and their origins date back at least 2000 years. akitas are one of the if not THE most dangerous bread of dog. perfectly suited for combat and fighting they have the strength the speed agility and bite force to fuck up any bodys day i dont care how big and tough you think you are my akita would wreck your day. period.

to be honest my akita, the one you see in the video lives in my summer house with a german shepperd dog and she lives out side full time..she has no problem with that, her problem is that she s agressive and she doesn't even let the german shepperd eat from his plate!!! we had to feed the other dog when she's not around
