@mynmln122 actually while that is true it is also because this movie didn't do very well when it first came out it was a little bit of a sleeper mainly because the movie Wyatt Earp was released around the same time and it had, in blockbuster standards, bigger names. Tombstone gained a fanbase after it was released on video. I've seen both and personally I love Tombstone mainly because Val Kilmer kills this role and the script is so beautifully written.

Few times in cinema has an actor nailed a character so well. It was done this well with Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lector, with Heath Ledger as The Joker, and with Christain Bale as Patrick Bateman, and ofcourse with Val and Doc Holliday.
