@josechepe80 No, however depending on what WiFi signal you use (e.g. 802.11b/g/n), it could potentially slow down your connection.

Hi dude , My question is ... If I have a connection of about 5.0 Mbps does airport extreme increase it to 7.0 mbps or 10 mbps or whatever ?

DD-WRT is for Linksys routers. Not Apple branded routers. If you get one, just keep most if all of the settings at the default and the security at the highest possible.

How dumb, Mac comes out with their own wireless router. Whats so special about that? Even a cheapo router can do everything that mac one can.
