Royal Pools of Santa Clara, Inc. builds custom, in-ground swimming pools and spas for residential clients throughout the Greater Bay Area. Family-owned and operated since 1969, the company specializes in crafting pools from gunite, a mixture of cement and sand that's become a popular design in much of the United States.

President Bill Shepherd joined Royal Pools of Santa Clara in 1974 and eventually took over operations from his father. Mr. Shepherd considers himself a hands-on contractor who enjoys visiting every jobsite and ensuring customers' needs are met. He says his experienced and knowledgeable employees have produced and installed thousands of pools and spas over the years.
