@freespeachworld well that's no surprise given Kessler is really, the only top level, in their prime guy that joe fought. Regardless of how much Kessler learnt i think he still struggles with the slick, hard to hit guys eg ward. hopefully despite super 6 being finished the top guys @168 will keep fighting each other coz there are great match ups at that weight - bute vs ward/kessler/froch - froch vs kessler rematch, dirrell vs abraham rematch even the ward vs dirrell that didnt happen

@raxmanbox Calzaghe said recently, that he couldn't last 2 more rounds, that this was his hardest fight ever.

From round 9 you can tell that Joe is tired.

They way he fight, the slugging style compensate, and save him a lot of energy compared to other boxers. Joe was a clever and very fast boxer.

He taught Kessler one or two things, and they are very good friends today

@Frej84 so he doesn't say anything about calzaghe getting tired? damn those translators piss me off. i get they have to paraphrase but thats crap. i watched both english and usa broadcast of pac vs JMM and they had 2 totally different translation for what Nacho said to jmm in the closing rounds. regardless of the kessler situation the corner of Jeff Lacy and the usa commentators both said that calzaghe can't keep the pace up all night sort of thing. and i'm sure i've heard said in other fights 2

@raxmanbox The translater is so wrong though. The corner's exact words are: "It's tough but that is the road we need to take here, right? Be tough with him Mikkel, attack him, don't let him get peace. He comes lightning fast after a punch." That's all..
