'09 3D VFX Reel - A Phoenix, Effects, a Flood and More!

http://uni3d.com/ - This is a collection of my work throughout over 7 years of playing and studying in 3D with a focus on visual effects and simulations. The reel starts out with my Phoenix final project from the Vancouver Film School, and includes a good bit of chaos in the form of explosions, smoke, major splashes, and all types of other simulation/effects fun! The vast majority of the work seen in the reel was made within Maya, then composited in either Nuke or After Effects. All liquid/water simulations were processed with RealFlow. The robot eagle and Phoenix were modeled and initially set up in XSI. Much thanks to the open-source software programmers of FFMPEG, VirtualDub and the Ubuntu Linux distribution!

how did u make the laser particle fx? and with what software?

@freefallproductions3 The eagle was modelled in XSI, but all animation and effects were done using Maya. The laser sparks are Maya particles, rendered as small spheres with an incandescent ramp. They were rendered with motion blur to get the streaking, but adjusted for color/glow in post.

I'm just 20, and startet with VFX works one year ago and with 3D modeling 2 weeks ago. 3D work is very hard in the beginning imo.

btw, thank you for checking out my channel, it's no problem that you don't understand the language because if the atmosphere is allright, then we made a good job! ^^
