2010 July 13th Paragliding Roll-Over - Filip Peremans edition (MUSE - Uprising)

Filip Peremans and myself did what is claimed to be the first Rollover in Benelux with paraglider from a hot air balloon.

Bram the very experienced balloonist from http://www.virgin.nl/ balloons took us up to +3000ft and since we had not paid our tickets, we were not allowed to land with Bram his girlfriend Tessa, my wife Chantal and a group of 6-8 other passangers. (Who counts anyway ;)

I was out first, I felt so much more relaxed than with the heli-jump (Heli D-bag) at the extremesportsweek. My pulse was 160 in the basket. Forgot to check when I did the unpleasent thing, to get on the edge of the basket.

The roll-over worked like a charm, got a small cravatte, spun myself? 180' in the harness while solving the cravatte.

Went for a Spiral Tumble, SAT2Helico, failed, Wingovers, Misty Filip, Superstall and spendt the rest of my altitude tracking Filip wich was prepping and getting out with his little cravatte that he solved perfectly and did his FIRST EVER TUMBLE also. CONGRATS Filip!!!!!! Then he did a stall that led to some loss of altitude due to flapping hands :) Then directly into a SAT and landed were I had landed.

We reportet back to Bram that "Two happy paragliderpilots on the ground safe and sound"

I want to thank Bram for beeing so positive, Johan Roervink, Jurg Van der Vlies and Bas (driver) from www.skydance.nl for bringing their Powered Paragliders with cameras and filming for us, Chantal my wife for filming with the pole-cam, Tessa for filming inside the basket, Balloon-Mikkel Lierne (NO) for good advices, my father in law for lending me his car again. The Lemmens for retrieval service AND Filip Peremans for giving me the idea and for beeing there by my side doing it together with me!!!!!
