  • It totally kills me that nobody has bothered to put out a video showing how best to setup the MobilePRE for Windows 7 64bit or how to get it to work with Cool Edit Pro 2.0 or even Audacity! God knows the manufactures sure didn't put enough info about this into their FAQ's so it would be nice if those who know would share!

  • @wineblue2 I agree. I may be doing a project this summer where I will be updating some of the information using the newer MobilePre interface and Windows 7. I'll post it here if I do.

  • You can find the latest drivers at: m-audio.com. Just check USB devices and select Mobile Pre.

  • is it compatible with windows 7 64 bit?

  • @xCHEENOOx The site does not mention whether it works with the 64bit version of Windows7. I suggest you make sure before you buy. I don't have a 64bit system to test in on otherwise I would.

  • how many inputs are there? and are they all phantom power? :)

  • @CallMeCoolio Mobile Pre has 2 XLR connections and both are phantom powered, which is a button on the front.

  • Well I have the MobilePRE installed with the latest drivers, Cool Edit Pro 2.0 installed and also have Audacity. Using a Realtek HD Audio Card with multiple input/outputs and the MobilePre is plugged in with an audio output to the RealTek sterio input and I get nothing out of the XLR mic I am using when I try to record a mono track in Cool Edit Pro. Not sure what I am doing wrong here.

  • wheres the site that you go to to download the driver ?

  • @xCHEENOOx yes it works, just download the new drivers from the website

  • @theANT47 really are your drivers up to date? that can properly be the problem

  • @xCHEENOOx

I'm having problems with the driver for my Mobile Pre

the driver for it seems not to be compatible with windows 7

it works fine with XP but not so good with 7

  • @tomshepp1 OKAY THANKS
