Saw them at the Phantasy Night Club in Lakewood, OH back in the late 1970's. Their music still sounds totally fresh, how did they do it?

One of the few bands that emerged post punk that I really liked. They were Beefheart and Crimson-inlfuenced, so that may explain it. Plus Dave Thomas and Alan Ravenstine were over the top!

Attended a Pere Ubu show at the Crystal Ballroom with my wife on her birthday in March of 2006 or something like that. At the end of the set David Thomas asked for requests from the audience and my wife requested this song. David said that they hadnt done this one in at least ten years.........but they did it and THEY NAILED IT and the place went absolutely nuts. Fucking greatest band ever from Ohio. That includes the Ohio Players.
