Guitarist Tom Jarvis from indie rock band Reverend and The Makers goes eco in this video of him playing a new guitar made from recycled materials.

Conventional guitars are often made from endangered hardwoods but Simon Lee has produced ones made from recycled materials including factory reject yoghurt pots, vending machine coffee cups and in this clip -- fragments of CDs seized during illegal raids. Available to buy on www.ethicalsuperstore.com the guitars are made using environmentally sound processes wherever possible.

Tom strummed away on his on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury for the band's finale song "He Said He Loved Me" and will be packing it away again for V in August.

  • I own this guitar, I bought it through Ethical Superstore, money went to charity. Has a fabulous tone, if only I could play properly !
