I have been living there for 3 months... research assistant... i can suggest you few things... to have a real japan experience, go to Toyoko Inn hotel... Seiki is quite far from a real japan stuff... go hiroshima, from kyoto is quite fast with shinkansen, It deserves a visit.. one full dayis enough. Ah to eat... go to places where u have the automatic ticket machines , they display pic, u insert the amount and have good cheap and really japanes stuffs...sith with other japanes at the side...
Thanks!! Well, we knew about sleeping on the floor when we booked the Seiki Ryokan, so thats ok). We are only there for 2 nights and we will only be sleeping in the Ryokan so I think we will cope. It's all part of the Japan experience I believe!! Did you enjoy your stay in Japan? We have never been before so I am really excited!!
rooms are quite small (is a city in japan so i couldn't really expect more), is in a building so of really typical has nothing excpetd sleeping on the floor(in the idea we could have of a ryokan). If i can suggest you the Toyoko Inn is good choice in japan, is good, cheap, large room and confortable
