Chinese Hmong song: hmoob` luab` neej（苗族生活）

Ling Lee and Nao Wei sing a duet. The Song is sung in what is called Yellow Hmong(Hmoob Dlaag) It is dialect of hmoob similar to white Hmong but with differences in some vowles for example the white hmong vowel "ua" is pronounced "a" and white hmong "o" is "ao" if one knows the differences then it is quite easy to understand just like if one knows the differences between green and white one can understand both. In china the yellow hmoob are called Hmong suav by other groups of hmong but the call themselves hmoob dlaag. in China they are called 偏苗
This Song was performed in Gui Zhou at a hmong festival called lub 4 hli xiab 8. the two were awarded the 2nd place prize. The song has become popular among the hmong all across the country of china now, and is one of the most known hmong songs this year.

Y'know... I still think this is by far my favorite song performed by Cui Lian Li. Why isn't it featured in her recent albums? Is this not a song she wrote? I can see in the video she was younger then.

@hmonguru Hi Actually this song is in a recent that she put out. The DVD is called Hmoob Txuj Ci. it has this song, tub ntxhais hmoob, and some other songs. The DVD is not just her songs but has a collection of songs, and other things from the hmong in Guang xi china.

Why are you arguing about Ling and Ayouduo? If one goes to china Ling will let them in her door and personally take them to meet Ayouduo. For thats what happend to Paj Zaub, if you look at the video "Paj Zaub Khab and Ayouduo" though ling isnt in the picture, they are taken at her home, paj zaub and mim yaj are wearing Lings Hmong clothes, then the pics with ayouduo on the far left there is lings brother and family friend who translated, and happen to be the people that write music for Ayouduo

It reminds our hHmong history in the last six centuries when Chinese Tang conquered our land now in Chengdu, Guangxi, Yunnan, etc. It's very sad to see our Hmong people being minorities and have a hardship life.

@HlubYaaNtuj it's sad, true but wat is more of a sorrow is that we will never unit again under a true HMOOB banner cause we kill each other nowadays. if we learn to love one another and see past our own hatred towards each other and look at the bigger picture then maybe, just maybe one day we will have a place of our own again.
