Anybody that says "the game has passed him by" needs to get an original thought in their head. That phrase has been worked to death. Gibbs KNOWS football, this year the O has been all Al Saunders. The T. O. in the Buffalo game, I give Joe a pass, The organization had a horiffic week. The Skins do need a GM, but the pieces are falling into place. In Joe We Trust. HTTR

Joe Gibbs is a wonderful man and an excellent coach. His stand for his faith in Jesus Christ is remarkable, and God has blessed him because of that stand. He is a great motivational speaker, especially in his series "Game Plan for Life". How many men with his level of success would publicly profess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of his life, and share that message with the world? Agreed, he'll always be a legend here and the last 4 seasons certainly doesn't tarnish his legacy.

Well, Joe Gibbs has retired...As a Redskin fan I dont believe that his legacy has been tarnished even finishing with a overall losing record. Hes a great man and brought Washington, DC 3 Super Bowls. At least he can focus on one sport now.

Joe Gibbs the coach - great. Joe Gibbs the GM - not very good. Bad personnel decisions have cost this team the last 4 years from being a major contender now.

Gibbs WAS a great coach, but the game has passed him by. he is far too cautious of a coach for todays game. never takes any gambles / chances. 4th and 1, and 99% of the time he either punts or goes for 3 pts. who is calling the plays these days ? how many times do the skins have to be within the red zone, only to have to settle for 3 pts ? and WHY do the skins over and over again seem to quit during the 2nd half of the game ? it's a coaching problem. Gibbs, Saunders, and Williams need to go.
