The unsolicited, unnecessary sequel to the conclusion of my Norinco Hunter / 7.62x39mm Galil project includes another ham-fisted mini project: attaching a red dot sight to the rifle. While standard AKs have a plethora of optic mounting options available to their owners and Galils have a few as well, the Norinco Hunter relies on its own unique mounting system that is unfortunately but predictably rare these days. I could have drilled and tapped the receiver to attach a standard AK side rail, but the risk of mangling the gun was unappealing.

@aulvalenzuela21 It works on AK-style rifles that have gas tubes that positively attach to the receiver like the Galil or Valmet. On standard AK-style rifles, I would looks for a solution with a bit more stability.
