Just spread your fingers and wraps get tight again. For boxing gloves is good to bend your thumb 45 degree( not 90 as shown on video) it should prevent to have a mess inside of your gloves.

  • no worries

Video shows fast method(I do 30 sec each hand). Length 108". This is for grappling or light punching training(speed/technique)

    Heavy bag:

1st layer-use your own way to protect e.g. thumb ,metacarpals, knuckles

2nd layer-apply my method to keep it in place.

use 180" Professional Hand Wraps and special "heavy bag gloves", MMA gloves are a bad choice.

Note: wraps only reduce risk of injury and do not provide 100% protection.

  • you are not doing it right

  • @BiGLoS2212 a lot of MMA fighters punch "wrong" or differently then to boxers is because it's a different fight from a boxing fight. They're both fights that take althleticism, skill, and heart, but they're different. Boxing is all punching, how to defend/counter/evade punching, MMA is kickboxing, clinch striking, and ground fighting. Just like how grappling is to striking, both similar but different rules, techniques etc. Much respect to the boxing world from a submission grappler. Peace

  • @vmaisonger in my opinion MMA fighters are the guys who punch wrong, alot of them are wild swingers best at kicking and grappling or ground fighting the worst is the "HAMMER FIST" thats only hitting with the two small metacarpals you mentioned not to hit with, point boxers punch with the best technique because thats what we train to do all day proper punching and defence maybe you should join or try a boxing club so you can clear up those misconceptions you have about boxers/boxing

  • @vmaisonger i disagree, you have to remember that in a match you are fighting a moving opponent who is moving his head, sidestepping, slipping and bloocking punches so even with the all the best technique anything can happen, example: if you throw a perfect hook turning your knuckles over and perfect technique it all depends on your opponent that 1 of 3 things will happen, 1)he slips/ducks/blocks punch ,2)he gets caught flush or 3) he tries to duck/slip and the punch grazes him

  • @BiGLoS2212 Which metacarpal did he fracture? I'll bet it was one of the two small ones....which would mean he was hitting improperly. Recall that Tyson broke his hand as well. Most boxers rely on their taped hands and hit wrong. Sad, but true. Only the first two knuckles should be used. I have never heard of anyone breaking those, it's always the last two.
