Rosetta is now well into its 10-year journey to rendezvous with Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko. In 2008 it will fly by asteroid 2876 Stein, taking hi-res images of the body. This movie shows Rosetta's lander, the Philae, deploying its investigation machinery once it has landed on the comet.

Why hasn't the ESA posted Asteroid Stein flyby footage here more quickly? I know it just happened today, but hey..this is the 'modern' world right? Heh. And I'm dying of the suspense! I'm not sure if the Rosetta only takes still photographs though. That would really suck. lol
