Classic Game Room season 1 - 6/27/2000

Classic Game Room steps to the real with Vagrant Story, a game where guys with girls names wander through dungeons wearing skirts fighting dragons that breath polygon fire at you.

An interesting if not somewhat original game concept, this RPG style dungeon crawler mixes Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star with Dungeons and Dragons and a Prince concert.

Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.

This game utilizes the limited hardware masterfully. The graphics are technically inferior, yet the game looks stunning. The art style, and perhaps in particular the lighting, not only saves it but elevates it above the norm.

They already remade this, its called final fantasy xii....

Haha jk just cuz i still own my copy of VS and wgen ffxii came out it reminded me of it, if you think about it.....final fantasy xii could of just been named vagrant story 2

This game was pretty tough to figure out though. Once you figure out how to play, I thought the game was manageable but definitely not one of those games you can just casually play and beat. That dragon that owned Matt with fire breath isn't even that far into the game. I'm guessing Mark didn't play all the way through.

@SiGhast Yea. The graphics are quasi-PS2 quality. Honestly, at this day and age PSX and PS2 don't look that much different and it's even harder to tell with this game.

@CougarMagnum1978 Yea. I totally picked this game up not too long ago and that's exactly what I said. Not sure how much I want to play fallout so I'll give this game a playthrough before I pick that up.
