National Poetry Slam 2010` Frederick Douglass Poem By: Justin David Tate

This is a poem performed on stage at the National Poetry Slam 2010 hosted by Saint Paul, Minnesota. This poem was performed in the final round of our second bout. We went against Denver, Orlando, and Manchester. In the end, this poem helped us (Dallas Poetry Grind) collect second place in our second bout. We claimed 38th place overall out of 76 teams from across the United States. I'm proud of my team and myself.
