That the game is free doesn't mean everyone goes rage and troll. I think it's a matter of age, generally :) The players that go bezerk the most are the ones that are the youngest, under the age of 16 at least. But free games makes that kids can actually play it (easily), without nagging their parents to buy it =)

@WickedMuis Age seems to be coming up a lot in the comments. I think my viewpoint might be messed up somewhat, all the younger people i know who play games are well behaved fine examples.

I would have thought age was just the go to point everyone uses when it comes to raging troll players. From my time in WoW everyone used to moan about it. "are you12?"

I don't know how much of a factor it plays. It does play a part that's for sure, just how big it is, I don't know.

Excellent program, though my definition of rage is a bit different, (yours, to me at least, seems more towards smack talk). I would like to add that I believe the reason we are seeing more and more rage is a combination of age and the anonymity of the internet.

Online games are becoming easier for younger kids to get on, and as each generation comes along they are increasingly tied into the internet and find it easier to use the anonymity of it to say things that they normally wouldn't say.
