  • so I fell in love very much(with fictional character from book I had read)Then I heard that there had been an ecranisation of the book in cinemas these days.I wanted to go very much but decided that I will, but only being healthy. It was so absurd method to rid off with such an hard and uncontrolled disorder but it worked and lasted few weeks.(but if I wasn’t on love-hormones it wouldnt have been so easy)

I wish you all to rid off with it and find motivation strong enough to win with it.Good luck!

  • When I was 9-12 I had bald places on my head which I had to cover forming some sort of Misty-hairdo. I had been trying to cure it for few years… using some tranquilizers and psychological help but it didn’t work at all. When I was 13 I found the way. (Im not completely cured, bcs I still love pulling but only legs-hair.)

  • For me trichotillomania was a bulb-hunting, bulb obsession.

I'm 23 and I have been suffering from this nasty stuff since I was 7.

I started pulling hair from legs (I was fascinated by the sound of unrooting hair, this nicely prickly feeling and mostly by the look of bulbs. White, fluffy, a bit transparent with black endings. TASTY :( Not all hair I pulled were ended with bulb, so I pulled and was satisfied, when I managed to pull it with a bulb. :/) then arms, bikini areas, then head.

  • I just use toys

  • @amoonpie321 I do this too. It definitely helps!

  • Have something to do all the time, e.g. once in class I had an urge to pull, but I had a stretchy wristband in my hands, and I simply sat and stretched it and it worked. I've been thinking about getting a stress ball, or something stretchy to carry around with me 24/7. I am going to (well, try to) stop tomorrow (1st Feb 2012!). There are also medications people can try (I haven't tried any though, and don't know any).

  • I was pull free for five months. I used kava kava and was on zyprexa and lexapo. I didn't even have the urge to pull. Now that I'm not on the medication I started to pull again.

  • i cant stop pulling

  • i doo itt :/

  • someone help me stop, i've had enough of it
