EARTH HOUR Lehman College

Lehman College of CUNY celebrates Earth Hour by powering down lights in the Apex building for one hour to create awareness for the environment and the latest sustainability initiatives to conserve energy and beautify the campus.

Lehman College efforts for greener campus range from a ground breaking LEED gold rated new science building construction, to new energy efficient water chillers and boiler systems, to motion sensing light switches that shut off lights in unoccupied rooms.

Along the way there is increased awareness among staff and students, and even beyond the campus community as the these efforts are documented and shared in various media including on BronxNet Television with the general public.
