Very clear and helpful. Thanks man. My wife spilled orange soda in her MacBook (ain't she cute?) and it only damaged the top case. Veeeeery sticky. Anyway, it's replaced now.

my keyboard and track pad sudden went dead! but still operates fine with external mouse and keyboard plugged thru usb. I purchased new macbook top case and installed it. It work for some seconds then went out like dead again. I am wonder what was wrong.. PLEASE HELP! thank you much..

DON'T WORK ON COMPUTERS WITHOUT DOING THE FOLLOWING OR YOU WILL RUIN YOUR COMPUTER!!!
You have to make sure you ground yourself with a grounding strap like he's wearing. the other end must be connected to a proper earth ground. You may have to take apart an outlet. generally the exposed coper is ground clip onto that. if you can find a way to connect your grounding strap to the outlet ground do that instead.
