On Fox News, Bill O'Reilly and Amanda Carpenter were more than happy to report on the new restrictions on YouTube, though without reporting on the the changes in profanity rules that are proving most controversial. Meanwhile, Fox Television, joined by other broadcast networks, is fighting all the way to the US Supreme Court to protect their right to broadcast profanity.

The changes in YouTube policy I discuss in this video are detailed in the December 2, 2008, YouTube blog entry at http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=AEX3_7h40mk

The short clip I used from "The O'Reilly Factor" was broadcast on Fox News on December 10, 2008.

The oral argument in Fox Television v FCC in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals from which I took two short clips for my video was originally broadcast on C-SPAN on December 20, 2006 and is available in full on the C-SPAN video archive online at http://www.c-spanarchives.org/library/index.php?main_page=product_video_info&...

  • Fuck that shit. If they pass this, I'm predicting it ain't gonn end well. This is like taking away freedom of speech, we can't give our opinion. So that's fucken bull shit. I guarantee the next thing of freedom they'd take away is speech. So SOPA can go fuck theirselfs.

  • very good video i am normally a libertarian but i completely agreed with you if you the consumer dose not like what is on just turn the Chanel or shout it off now that's just a me but interesting that the lawyer is defending 1 oddments on behave of fox but if YouTube tried that there be no one to defend it interviewing humm again i am not a lib like you are but i completely agree with your thoughts on this video..

  • The good thing about Youtube is that it is uncensored some of the best videos are profane.

  • A Youtube For All Of Us=The Youtube/Google Staff

  • This is Fox News, we are American. You can tell by our disguise of politcal correctness, but everyone knows that we like war, fapping to porn, student debts and trollin' on the internet in our parents basement. We just don't talk about it.

  • As much as I hate censorship, you do need it for children other than that it is really starting to get on my nerves.

  • Of course Bill O (the Fascist Clown) wants YT censorship.

He can't stand it when people immediately respond to his lies, distortions and spin. He wants to keep the populace as brainwashed as typical FOX viewers.

  • It's a very simple issue... The state should have the least amount of regulations necessary. Our first amendment guarantees free speech.

  • After hearing the profanity laced speech of FOX lawyer Carter Phillips, I now feel dark and sinister feelings upwelling from the depths of my being. I feel the need to rape, pillage, burn books, burn witches and do lots of other evil acts...ok, not really :P
