This is our Time Lapse view of how our in house porters do their beautiful and exceptional work! The work being done is to a Subaru WRX's TGV's. They are emissions housings based between the intake manifold and the head. They are very restrictive to air flow and a great deal of horse power can be gained by opening these up! These TGV's were done by Matt Homes who has been with us for many years!

  • In a nut shell our final finish on this product isn't as smooth at it seems. Is very close to a 120 grit. On the flow bench the x-buffed finish and blasted 120 grit Aluminum Oxide finsh flow identically all day long. Where the differences come into play is if there is anything introduced into the intake charge before the injectors, say meth injection, NOS ect. You want to keep those products atomized and evenly distributed across the intake charge. -Matt Porting & Coating Manager

  • Awe man I wish I could tell ya but that is part of the trade secret and our porting guys who have been doing this for years would be absolutely irrate if I gave their secrets away! But, I can tell you that 90% of the work is not in the bits as much as the skill, they could do this with a file and a saw blade if thats all they had haha!

Best of luck on your project though, just remember that you need baby steps, cause if you go a hair too big the whole project is toast.

  • Would also love to see a video of the intake Manifold! I just ordered a Makita 906H to do my TGVs with and want to try the intake and throttle body too! Thanks a lot for the video!

  • @TheNego I promise we will get to eventually, so many videos, so little time! Thanks for the input though!!!

  • I love this video! would like to see one on the intake manifold!!!

  • i picked up 12 whp on the high end in my EWG stock turbo'd sti with TGV deletes... awesome bang for your buck

whats funny is how long this time lapse is... gives you an idea of how much work really is involved in doing a set of TGV's... if they posted a video of this guy porting an exhaust manifold it would probably be at least a 10 minute time lapse just due to all of the time involved in porting

  • Would i have to get a tune after this? Seems like a HUGE air flow difference. Other than that keep up the good work, yall are awesome!!

  • You guys do all that work to make it look so good but, Why would you just tap and plug it when it looks better to weld all of the holes. That is what I would like to see. It would put the finishing touch on them,

  • @smoovemike Dude, they're not that expensive, especially since you're rolling GBPs. They will find you some cheap shipping, just buy them ... send yours back by ship, cheaper ... they don't care.

  • i own a subaru and have heard my subie buddies say tgv delets before but never understood what they were really talkin about , thanks for sharing this video !
