Broward College Jazz Professor and Students Appear on TV - On Campus

Broward College Professor Jason Hainsworth and a group of his Jazz Combo students appeared on NBC's "South Florida Today" on Wednesday morning, November 24, and were also featured on the morning news on Friday, November 26 in a story by reporter Brent Solomon. The students, Ricardo Esquilin, trumpet; Homero Gallardo, guitar; Piero Mendez, bass; Christopher Million, drums; and Dinson Caldwell, drums, performed live on Wednesday and were enthusiastically applauded by the professionals in the studio. They gave a great performance. The news report focused on our rigorous and rapidly growing music department, with Professor Hainsworth serving as an eloquent spokesperson for the jazz concentration, in particular. The students also performed during the news segment.
