Kelsey Popovich: Mozart and Copland OMEA Solo Voice Contest

Fifteen year old soprano, Kelsey Popovich sings Mozart's aria "Un moto di gioja" from "La Nozze di Figaro" in Italian plus A. Copland's "When They Come Back" in the OMEA Solo Voice District IV contest held in a classroom at Western Oregon University in March 2008. Kelsey won this contest and later performed these pieces at the Oregon State OSAA solo vocal contest in April where she won third place in the soprano division. Her piano accompanist was Honey Wilson.

You are correct that "Un moto di gioja" is performed here in A major. We found this arrangement in "The Second Book of Soprano Solos" arrangement by Joan Boytim; G.Schirmer, publisher. Her voice teacher felt that the key suited her range better,
