  • i want to know why you are shooting hippos!

  • @Sunami011509 - The hippo injures and kills more humans in wild Africa than any other African mammal. This makes the hippo a great dangerous game animal to hunt if done so properly. True hippo hunting, on land or in small pans, is extremely exciting and dangerous. I have been up close to hippo while hunting them on dry ground. A bull that is hunted in this manner can be very aggressive and charge. This is the way to hunt hippo! Stop the charge or the hunt is over.

Yes well i understand the game point but Hippos are a vulnerable species. I'm not sure on the laws for that but as far as i know hunting them is not legal. I could be wrong about the legal matter of hunting but i just think its wrong. I love hippos and this video honestly made me sad.

  • @Sunami011509-The biggest threat to the species is poaching (illegal killing) for meat and ivory. Hunting is extremely important in Africa to bring money for conservation, meat for villages, and value to help reduce poaching. If dangerous game does not have value it will often be poached or poisoned. Poaching does not bring money for conservation, and animals killed by poaching are not regulated to assure balanced off-take. Loss of habitat is also damaging to this and other species in Africa.

  • @Sunami011509 Of course it's legal why wouldn't it be? Just because an animal is made to look at cutesy in the media doesn't mean its illegal to hunt.

  • @zooders -It is very easy to spend well in excess of $100K in Tanzania as the number of days increase to a full bag safari minimum and of course as the trophy fees are added for the more sought after species.

  • @shawncjoyce my and my dads safari was well over 100k but we took several animals

  • shooting a hippo who is charging at you is pretty much the most ultimate thing u can do

  • @shawncjoyce thanks for the info , must be incredible travel!!!

  • @juanjesuschong-Remember that hippo are normally offered on a 21 day license package so when you start planning for hippo in Tanzania it generally means a great deal more in costs from a 10 day safari.
