Sneeking round Eton

Curly's Grandfather attended Eton and took us sightseeing. Despite signs to the contrary clearly displaying that entry was prohibited, He took us to places rarly seen, except by boys and staff at the school. Here we are in the Choir practise room. Great day out!

Honestly. Every day we have our privacy invaded by people walking around and taking photos of us or pointing. It's bad enough that it happens in the street, but you have to go into the provate areas too? Eton is a school, not a ghetto, despite some views to the contrary.

I would remind you, that he is an old etonian and he was sharing some fond memories of his school days! It does'nt sound like you'll have any to share with your future children and granchildren!!

Yes, but one with a highly selective streamed environment which groomed the cleverest boys for academic success (of which he was one). Hardly a run-of-the-mill state school...

Undeniably, however, there are certainly some excellent state schools.

Yes they are no doubt intelligent, but they aren't the cleverest,

Surely there are more naturally gifted potential students out there who can't afford the privilege to attend Eton.
