the new wave didn't come from england in the 1960s
it came from new york in the 1950s, authors who wrote for Galaxy and the other new magazines that were aspiring for greater literary quality

I watch it from Montreal religiously on cable (airing on TV Ontario), fantastic show! To this day every time I hear about Star Trek I remember Harlan Elison,s comment that it isn't real sci fi "Star Trek is for people who watch it eating their little twinkies" or something like that lol,
