Fortunately her labor stopped after slightly dilating the cervix and repositioning her foal. We could tell her cervix had dilated because she had bloody mucous coming out of her vulva. (My apologies to readers who aren't comfortable with horse gynecology!) At that time, she had edema on her hind legs and belly. After this bout of labor, the edema gradually went away. Twelve days later, she foaled cheerfully and easily. You can see photos and details about her delivery at my website, horsestories dot com.

  • oh sorry i mean why she was doing in the video

  • The same thing was happening to Pintura as happens to lots of us human moms. We call it false labor. I had it once, got partway dilated, then four days later finally got into serious labor and had a cute baby girl.

  • dang she is GORGEOUS
