Parasitic loss creates a different opinion. AWD is great off the line but splitting torque between four wheels instead of two kills top end. And on a track (save for the Audi's) AWD cars typically exhibit the same handling charcteristics as a FWD. Some are rear biased so that doesn't necessarily apply but one thing I will say....RWD owns both. Formula 1 and NASCAR should prove that for you.

SS was doin well, and it only has like 240hp. It was supercharged not turbocharged.

That evo vs. ss reminds me of when my buddy and i raced. i beat em on the roll, though i was catching em from a dig. great vid!

did not think the cobalt would be that close to the evo

AWD only kills it at the line.. after that it is a disadvantage for 1/4mile race because of loss of power through the drive train. an AWD vrs a well FWD is a good race for that reason. Once the FWD is moving all bets are of and may the best one win!
